Biography
From the street to the galleries, the mark of a free artist
Behind Onemizer lies an artist who has made graffiti his language, the canvas his medium of expression, and freedom his driving force. Initially anonymous, his wild lettering took to the streets before taking over galleries, never losing the raw energy that is his signature. Between instinct and mastery, vandalism and gallery, he cultivates contrasts and imposes his style.
From the first pencil strokes to the spray can
Born in France in 1987, Onemizer discovered art as a child in Africa. Fascinated by the works of an artist neighbor, he began practicing watercolor. Upon returning to France at the age of 11, he painted, experimented, and researched... then plunged into the world of graffiti as a teenager. Walls, abandoned warehouses, and railways became his first areas of expression. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in design school, before moving away, preferring vacant lots to overly normative academicism. Graffiti gave him adrenaline, and he loved the atmosphere he shared with friends and the feeling of freedom. Everything changed in 2012 when he was offered the opportunity to exhibit his paintings in a simple municipal hall. Very quickly spotted by galleries, Onemizer then went on to exhibit, finding himself hanging alongside his idols (Banksy, Keith Haring, Jonone, etc.).
A hybrid style between chaos and precision
Onemizer is a clash of universes. On his canvases, he fuses graffiti, long considered counterculture, with an academic precision inherited from the great masters. He pushes realism to its extreme...before deconstructing it, playing with shadows, contrasts, and textures. Each canvas is a dialogue between order and chaos, where tags disrupt figuration, and destruction becomes creation.
A freedom claimed
Refusing to be labeled, Onemizer paints what moves him, what challenges him. He draws from popular culture as well as from art classics, from current events as well as from nature, to transform each medium into a wall of free expression where derision regularly invites itself. His approach? Blur the lines, break the codes, provoke. Spray paint, brush, airbrush, stencil... He mixes techniques, media, layers, experiments, keeping the raw energy that marked his beginnings. Onemizer surprises, amuses, questions.
Today, he creates in his studio near Paris, exhibiting in France and internationally, in prestigious galleries. But the essential element remains the same: a visceral desire to paint. Between tradition and modernity, Onemizer imposes a free, striking, and insolent style. A true signature!
